Central Coast Tencha, is a high quality and rare green tea, known as the raw material used for the production of Matcha powder. Since the cultivation process is the same, as for Gyokuro- the tea bushes are shaded before they are harvested- to enhance its chlorophyll, theanine, and other compounds. Which in turn produces a sweeter flavour profile, that is creamy and smooth with barely any astringency. There is a wonderful balance between sweetness and umami, which makes this a pleasure to drink.
Brewing instructions: Approx. 1-2 scoops or 3 grams for every 250ml of water for a 1-2 minute infusion 70-80c
