Region: Bellingen, New South Wales
Type: Indigenous Tisane
Bellingen Gurạdji (ger-ra-je) is a traditional Australian native plant used to bring Indigenous people together. When someone visited another clan, they sought out the Guradji Man, for permission to access that clan’s country. They would then share Gurạdji, which had a relaxing effect. This act said: 'I am comfortable to share Gurạdji with you; you are welcome on my country'.
Hand-harvested and dried naturally by the sun, Gurạdji Raw Sundried tisane, is cleansing and refreshing. At first, it is light and mildly bitter, the natural sweetness and nutty flavour deepens with each sip and steep.
The compounds in this tisane, are known to be highly effective in fighting diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, ageing, and also have neuroprotective potential in the body.
